Office Closures
The office will be closed for Civic Holiday, Monday August 3, 2026, re-opening Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Virtual appointments
OHIP changes now allow for phone appointments in special circumstances. Office appointments are the standard for any visits requiring physical exam, but some appointments may be handled by phone at the discretion of Dr. Hommel.
Health Card Verification
To comply with provincial regulations, please ensure you present a valid, non-expired Ontario Health Card at the start of every clinic visit. If you do not have a valid OHIP card, you may be charged for the visit or asked to re-schedule your appointment.
Masking & Safety Protocol
Keep up social distancing and masking if sick, and get vaccinated! Our office still recommends patients to wear a mask if they are sick.
Flu Shot Availability
Seasonal flu vaccinations are no longer available. Please check back for the 2026-2027 Flu Season in October 2026.
Payment information
For payment of fees for form completion, records transfers, non-OHIP covered services, please send an e-transfer to      drhommelmedicine@rogers.com
OR contact the office to discuss payment by debit or credit card.
EMERGENCY NOTICE: If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 or proceed to your nearest emergency department. Do NOT come to, or call the office.

A certain number of appointments each day are reserved for urgent same day issues to get patients seen quickly.

The office will be closed for lunch daily between 1230 and 130pm.

For urgent medical issues after hours (5 pm to 9 am) or on weekends and statutory holidays ( 24 hours) we encourage you to call the Telephone Health Advisory Service, at 1-866-553-7205; The nurse, depending on the case, may advise you to go to the closest emergency room or may call the physician on call from the group for that time.
